World Card Making Day Bella Blossoms
This is the 5th of my challenge cards: A nesting flower with five+ layers. It is based on the Bella Blossoms flower and is really cool IRL - i think so anyway. What do YOU think?
World Card Making Day #2
World Card Making Day
Hey everyone. Today I have been doing a WCMD card challenge hosted by Split Coast Stampers. I have to make a card every 2 hours until 11 tonight based on designs chosen by some of the fabulous artist at SCS. It is really fun and I am going to post some of the cards throughout the weekend on my site. Let me know what you think. This card is based on a sketch and was my "quickest" card of the day. By "quick" I mean I only redesigned it twice.

My baby girl
When I saw this picture I took of Emily last year, I KNEW this would make a perfect scrapbook page. We were in Bass Lake, the pine needles were everywhere, the sun was peeking randomly through the clouds, and as we walked along, I just kept thinking that time is so fleeting. How will I ever remember every moment I spend with her? I WANT to remember...

Fall is HERE!!!
Well sure, it's still in the high 90's (unseasonably so) but the leaves have started to turn. Well, it might be they are just tired of trying to survive the heat, but it COULD be FALL, yes, I am going with fall, autumn, season of presage. I LOVE the colors: brilliant reds, dusky browns and golds, rich burgundies and greens, LOVE LOVE LOVE it. This card was ever so slightly CASE's from Jenn D with some slight twitches : o) (It was lacking sparkle.) Let me know if you want dimensions. FALL: Whoo-hoo

WANT TO WIN SOME BLOG CANDY? (and support a FABULOUS cause?)
This morning I opened my FeedBlitz's to see a wonderful campaign to raise awareness and to give back a little to the caretakers of Alzheimer patients. I made this card for someone special who is selfless in his devotion to those he loves who suffer from this disease. Take a moment to visit Cammie's blog and check out the INCREDIBLE blog candy she is offering as her own tribute to this special group of people. There are literally dozens of donations from all of THE best companies. My favorites are: Eclectic Paperie, Scor-Pal and The Cat's Pajamas. WHOO HOO!! Thanks Cammie for organizing this wonderful event.

Give Thanks
Remember that "Country Living" specialty stamp set and stuff form 2 years ago? Well they have teamed up with Stampin' Up! for another great kit that is almost available!! The mag hits the news stand in October and they have like a 20+ page spread of the stuff from Stampin' Up. ANYWAY, this card is from the pattern that came with the last kit. We made these at Linda' card party last week - that's where the guests pay a small fee, in this case $18, and they get to make 12 projects (in this case 4 Xmas cards, 4 of these Thanksgiving cards, and 4 incredibly cute Halloween treat bags) which I have TOTALLY cut and prepared for them. They just show up, stamp, and put them together with their own creativeness unimpeded by measuring, etc. (I know how these chicks are...measuring is NOT their strong suit :o)

Thanksgiving
Two cards, same layout and design. One card was for a swap and make-n-take and the other was for giving. Love them both and both of them could be accomplished with minimal prep time. Recipe: Lovely Leaves and Canvas b'ground stamp sets, Choc. Chip, More Mustard, Ruby Red, Vanilla, inks/papers., Choc. Chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, Earth Elements buttons, Linen thread, and (of course) gold GLITTER on the leaves. Nothing says, "Jana made this" like glitter all over the thing.

THANK YOU!
For all of those who whispered prayers for me, for those who called and visited and made my life more pleasant in general these past few weeks, for my friends and my family who never cease to amaze me with their generous hearts and open doors, thank you. I made several dozen of these this weekend (the first time I could sit upright long enough) and absolutely love the way they turned out. The Bella Rose paper and one of my favorite sets, "Elegant Notes" make this card so very gorgeous. *sigh* Like it? expect one soon...

I have made several piece with this and am working on another, then I MIGHT move on to another totally fabulous set called "Dreams du jour." Maybe not. ANYWAY, let me know if you like it, OK?

Bag Tags (shhhh!)
Scissor Charms
These are one of my 3D items I am taking with me to convention. There are about 60 of them and I really like the way they turned out. No two are the same and they all have a tiny sivler bee on them. I am, after all, a Queen Bee!!

Baby Card
I love the look of this card; the tone on tone of the star punches as well as the ribbon and sewn bottons give this card a very homey and lovely look. Of course, who can resist a baby card? ANYWAY, I made this for the Artisan Contest (I didn't win-have I mentioned that?) and was really happy with the way it turned out.

Be Happy
Don't you just LOVE the formality of black and sparkly things? I do!! It reminds me of a Hepburn movie for some reason. Anyhoo, this card was one of the rejected (by me)designs for the Artisan Award competition. It is a very textural piece that I actually really liked. the sentiment is ever so slightly crooked which is why it remains in my possession. What do you think?

Boleyn Cuff Bracelet
This took roughly a day to do-starting and stopping as only a mom of three kids, 3 cats, 1 hamster, and 1 husband can do. It is made with golden glass pearls, Swarovski topaz 2AB (which look sort of pinkish) and 15o gold seed beads. Truly beautiful, light catching, and classic. I will forward the pattern to any who would like it.

Warm Wishes
I love winter cards - it's fun to crate them while it's dark and gloomy outside, when the minimal wind we have is blowing and the valley skies are silver shot with with grays and blues. This is an example of using the brayer with varying colors in the same palette. It was my first or second try, but it turned out OK, I think...

By Ones and By Twos!!
These pics are part of my baby collection (it's better if you say it like Sebastian in Little Mermaid..."cohl*ek*shun"). There is a mini photo album, a card, of course, and a cutie little box with 8 thank-you's in it. You will be truly amazed and impressed to know I PERSONALLY cut out every little teeny-tiny, itty-bitty flower that sports a yellow center, which I also cut out (with the help of a hole punch). OK, the hole punch did most of the work on the centers, but have you ever tried to pick up one of those 1/16" dots? I picked up upwards of 60 of them with tweezers stolen..um...found at UCSF after one of Nick's surgery's, AND moved them to the flowers (no small feat) AND glued them!! Let me know what you think. About the project. Keep all that other minutia to yourself.

AMAZING
OK, you all know how i like sparkly things and girlie stuff. This card is another such one. My design (yes, occasionally i just come up with something on my own instead of "adapting" the work of other great artists), colorful, fun, with felt flowers and a small half pearl on the front. This was one of the cards we did at our card making party. If you would like patterns or information about doing/attending a card party, let me know!

Unfrogettable Diorama Card
Just a simple take on a three-layer diorama card based on Dianne Gibbs' tutorial. This is perfect for a workshop featuring markers. It takes about 15 minutes to cut, stamp, color and assemble. See the tutorial HERE.

Sterling Silver Montees Bracelet
OK, you ALL know I love sparkly things. Bookmarks to jewelery to clothes to EVERYTHING. This bracelet was created using SW montees and crystal pearls, sterling silver 24 and 26 gauge wire and 46 tiny little wire wrapped jonquil crystal dangles. My thumb has about 45 piercings from bending the little wires around. The colors are an olive green, and mauve pearls, peridot and pink montees, and jonquil (yellow) dangles. Anyway, tell me what you think : o)
Copper Bracelet
I made this for Michelle Arya's Xmas present and I LOVE it. It is a copper bracelet effused with stones (jasper, torquoise, quartz, amethyst, jade to name a few), Swarovski crystals, and copper findings. It is truly stunning in person. I am so very sorry you dont have one, but I can hook you up if you ask nicely. $65
