Time Well Spent - White

This tone on tone card was made using only white papers and vellum, with accents of gold embossing. Although you can't see it, the card base is shimmery white, and the layering pieces are textured card stock. The embossing is on vellum, with a gold leafing pen for the trim on the other vellum piece. The ribbon is white taffeta-all supplies from SU!

JOY Matchbook Giftcard Holder

This matchbook fold giftcard holder is one of my absolute favorite "mistakes." I was trying for something totally different and didn't read the instructions all the way. Have you ever done that? Usually I end with something I give to Emily to play with, but this time it turned out GREAT! There is a used dryer sheet covering the stamped image providing a "snow" appearance. Then i sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds Glitter all over it. Very glitzy, very pretty, trust me. It is folded like a giant matchbook and the inserts can be as many or as few as you like. I have three in this one, one with the sentiment (shown below), one with a pic of the recipient and myself last Christmas, and one with a gift card attached to it with the half-round punch from StampinUP!

Christmas Swap Card

This slighly out of focus card is for a Christmas swap I am doing with some Ladies from SCS. It is a slight variation on the one I did for my Father-in-law. It is so very easy!! Try it.

Pumpkin Binder Clip

This is a great little piece for an entryway or a place setting-it's an easy project, finishable in less than half an hour using oval punches, coordinating papers and a large binder clip. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Baby book and matching card

This is a really cute baby book I created using the Stampin Up! "In Color" textured paper and the On Board Bitty Book. ($9.95--well worth the price, believe me!) I covered both the book and the little holder with paper, decorated the holder and made a matching card, based on the one in the catalogue on page 79. The trick was the Modge Podge-remember that? From elementary school? Who knew... What do you think?

I made this heart card for a Stampin Up! contest and couldn't part with it after it was completed. It fits in the palm of my hand is so incredibly lovely that it makes me feel good just to look at it. We were at Bodega Bay in CA in January-YES we got in the water (not too far as the Marin County shark feeding grounds are not too far away)and had such a wonderful time-can you tell?

My 2008 Christmas Card with matching gift card holder

This year I fell in LOVE with this card-CASEd from the new Fall Winter Stampin Up! catty. I made a very few minimal changes and voila! I have also made a matching tri-fold gift card holder, one of the tutorials from SCS. Scroll down for the gift card holder, and let me know what you think. (You can't see it well, but the Christmas tree is very sparkly-lovely really!!) http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/giftcardholder.php

2. Beginning my Christmas cards, CASED from the StampinUp! catty

3. Updating both my personal homepage ( http://janaaleman.com) and this blog
